How do I uninstall the Analysis ToolPak?

In order to save system resources and reduce the time it takes to load Excel, you may want to uninstall the Analysis ToolPak if you are not using it.  In order to do this, you simply follow the reverse of the procedure for installing the ToolPak.

First, open Microsoft Excel.

Next, select "Add-Ins" from the "Tools" menu, as shown below:

This will open a window showing all available Excel add-ins, illustrated below:

De-select the check-boxes for "Analysis ToolPak" and "Analysis ToolPak - VBA" (see what the difference is).

Click "OK" on the dialogue box, and the ToolPak(s) will be uninstalled.

The ToolPaks will remain on your hard drive and available to be reinstalled whenever you wish.  However, when de-selected as described here, the ToolPak will not load every time you start Excel.
